In my opinion, travelling the world is one of the hardest things to do. Some of you may think that sounds crazy, but let me explain. When travelling, you often spend time away from your family and close friends meaning that you miss out on quality time together. That is the primary issue. The second issue is that you are always on the move, meaning that it is difficult to settle in and enjoy the place that you are visiting. It is, therefore, not an easy thing. That is why I would say it is difficult to be an international motivational speaker. However, there are more reasons that international motivational speakers may struggle. Hence, I would like to explore what it takes to succeed as an international motivational speaker.
The first thing that an international motivational speaker must do is be an experienced traveller. If you wish to be an international motivational speaker, but lack the experience of moving from one place to another, you may find it quite difficult. The reason for this is that it can often be quite overwhelming for some people because they are used to just remaining in one place. Also, by moving all over the globe, you struggle to spend quality time with people, because you don’t see them for long enough. Therefore, I would recommend travelling with a group of people to each of your talks. By doing so, you will be able to spend quality time with some people that you like, and will avoid the feeling of loneliness.
Secondly, in order to be an international motivational speaker, you must be aware of what is going on around the world. This is important because it will allow you to customize your talks and have varied content, which you can use in different countries. This is vital, because some content may not be relevant in certain countries due to their differing social backgrounds and customs. I recommend doing lots of research prior to traveling, so that you do not get caught out when you enter these different countries.
Finally, I think that an international motivational speaker must be courageous. They must have the courage to travel to foreign places, and speak to people that they do not know. This is one of the essential qualities of any motivational speaker, but it is all the more important for an international motivational speaker who is constantly in foreign environments. Courage is something which you can develop overtime, so do not be afraid to take risks. By putting yourself out of your comfort zone, you are able to build up your bravery. This will make your job as an international motivational speaker a lot easier.
