When I think about speakers in the world of entertainment, I immediately think of comedians. Comedians are individuals who have the sole purpose of making people laugh. It sounds rather simple, but I am sure that you have realised it is not (perhaps whilst attempting to come up with a witty one liner, but then realising that you cannot). I think that speakers in the world of entertainment are just as important as ordinary speakers, because bringing happiness to others is always an important thing. Bringing happiness to others is particularly important in the modern world, due to the large amount of suffering and tragedies that we have witnessed. Moreover, speakers in the world of entertainment often raise awareness of important topics, albeit in a rather humorous way. Hence, let us have a look at some popular speakers in the world of entertainment, and some of the issues that they tackle.

 

The first person on my list of popular speakers in the world of entertainment is Ricky Gervais. He is well known for the television series “The Office” in which he starred as David Brent. Ricky Gervais is also well-known for his stand-up comedy shows; most recently I saw his show “Humanity” and it was absolutely hilarious. Gervais is a legendary comedian; however, he also speaks openly about his disdain towards the treatment of animals. Gervais has “never understood animal cruelty” and, therefore, actively questions the treatment of animals and certain events which involve animals, such as bullfighting. Not only is he an admirable comedian, but he is also a great advocator for animal rights. Hence, I think that he is one of the most popular speakers in the world of entertainment.

 

The second person on my list of popular speakers in the world of entertainment is the American comedian, Kevin Hart. I don’t know whether I have met someone who did not know Kevin Hart, hence why I would argue that he is one of the most widely known speakers in the world of entertainment. His jokes are funny, and he has even done a good job as an actor, appearing in films such as “Night School” and “Jumanji”. He too has used his fame in order to better the lives of others. Kevin has a particular focus on “advancing black pathways” and he works closely with Chase – a consumer banking company – so that he can do just that. He is an excellent comedian, and does a great deal to help others succeed and prosper. For these reasons, Kevin Hart features on my list of the most popular speakers in the world of entertainment.

 

Of course, there are plenty of other excellent comedians – Katherine Ryan, Jack Whitehall or Jimmy Carr (to name a few) – but these two stand out to me. I think that comedy can really open up a great number of pathways, thus making it a great think to get into.
