I think it is fair to say that in the modern world, the youth are unique. In comparison to previous generations, their actions and desires are completely different. Now, this is in part due to the development of technology and social media, which has led to an increase in demand for new gadgets and devices among younger people. The youth seem to follow their favourite social media stars by aiming to dress or act like them. They also seem to be heavily influenced by influencer-led marketing schemes which are all over social media. In essence, the youth are different due to the fact that they have immersed themselves into a world of technology, whereby they follow all the latest trends which pop up on Twitter or Instagram, for example. It is, therefore, hard to inspire a member of the younger generations, because not everyone is aware of his or her interests. Moreover, since he or she is so young, his or her interests are likely to change quite frequently. This is particularly difficult for motivational speakers to deal with, especially when they put on seminars for today’s youth. Hence, let us explore a few of the things that the youth may want to hear from motivational speakers at seminars.
The first things that the youth want to hear from motivational speakers at seminars is that they can succeed online. Lots of older people condemn people who try to make a living online, because they do not think that it is proper work, or they think that it is not a sustainable career. However, this hasn’t been the case, and it needn’t be the case for anyone growing up. All you need to do is look at the likes of KSI or Alfie Deyes, both of whom are successful online influencers, and notice that they have been able to create a career out of making videos. It is essential, therefore, for motivational speakers to highlight that it is possible to be successful online. They ought to put on seminars explaining how one could succeed online, so that more young people can be inspired.
The second thing that young people may want to hear at motivational seminars is that they are good enough to succeed. Lots of young people suffer with mental health issues, particularly due to the pressure that they feel to fit in. This is, in large, created on social media platforms. It is vital, therefore, for motivational speakers to tell the younger generations that they have the potential for success. They ought to provide seminars which highlight the ways in which young people can thrive, in order to boost confidence levels.
In essence, motivational speakers should tailor their seminars so that they fit the aims of the younger generations. By doing so, they will be able to attract larger audiences, who are willing to listen to their messages. Motivational speakers should put on seminars which deal with online platforms and mental health issues because these two things are prevalent in most people’s lives. Motivational speakers are responsible for providing inspiring seminars, so it is a good idea to tackle issues which young people are genuinely affected by.
